Bluestar - Maybe!
A very backlogged request. This one was in general, coming along badly and looked stark and dull till I added the cherry blossom like background. This could be the warrior cat Bluestar, leader of Thunderclan before Firestar took her place. Though the request was just someone who wanted a blue cat.

Black and white warrior cat
Made as a request. The request asked for white ears but it looked better this way so I just put some white on the insides of the ears. I have to consider the whole picture and how it comes together. I think this is one of my best cat portraits yet.

Tortoiseshell Warrior!
It's that tortie-coated Warrior she-cat...wait...IS there one in the canon? I can't actually recall if there is. I don't mean calico, I mean tortoiseshell--that brindled mix of black and orange/cream that is almost exclusively seen in female cats.
Well, our RPG has plenty of them and though this was not an easy one to draw, it was a lot of fun. I got back to the more painterly look. If Erin Hunter doesn't have a tortie in the Warriors series yet, she should put one in, because they're awesome.

American Curl Cat
This is my most recent one, a request done for someone on my own site. It is my most photorealistic cat portrait yet, but I actually don't want to go in that direction, I prefer a more painterly look, though this one has a lot of people liking it.
I hope to get another cat done some time this week...I got a lot of requests to fill!

Request for Emberheart: Red tabby she-cat
This was sure a change in mood from the one before. I had pretty poor photo references for this cat so it was mostly just me making up from memory and such what the cat looked like. Especially around the muzzle area I improvised. I think that is why it looks a little more cartoony than my others, but I like cartoony. I think it came out well. It looks more like a kitten than a cat but Emberheart really liked it.

Longhaired brown tabby cat
This was a request for a "brown longhaired cat" and I know this person likes Maine Coons so I did this one up to resemble one somewhat. I took longer on this than usual and did a little more play on the colours. I think it came out one of my best. He definitely looks like a warrior cat!

Longhair she-cat for Willowheart
When the picture of Firestar wasn't quite enough to convince everyone at the Warriors site that my art was my own I offered to do a very specific request of anyone's cat. My friend Willowheart asked for a portrait of her real-life cat, Jasmine, and showed me a photo. The photo didn't show her whole head so I did a closeup picture. I think it is one of my best so far. Willowheart agreed! And people finally were convinced.
Firestar!!
This was a request made by someone for Firestar, main character of the Warriors series. I did this one mostly to prove I wasn't stealing the art I was showing people. :/ Turned out pretty good, and was the first cat in this series that I think looks better full size than avatar size.
Tom cat with heterochromia
I actually did that on a whim halfway through this. Detail work could have been better but I was getting better at eyes by this point. I think the best parts of it are the light sourcing and the background colour. Makes me think of a summer afternoon.
Next cat - Shorthaired Black Tom
This was cat #4 that I did and I liked how he came out. He wasn't a request cat, just one I did because I wanted to add a black cat to the series. I think he looks warrior-like...I was getting better at drawing the fur and detail work by this point, but it still looks better at its avatar size than the full size, I think.
My Warrior Cats pictures - Avatar art gallery
I created this blog for displaying the art I'm making for my Warrior Cats website, Warrior Cats RPG. Each entry will feature a new cat, done up Warriors style. I've done ten cats so far and this is the earliest one that looked fit to display full size. I do them in 400x400 pixel size, then shrink them to my site's 200x200 pixel avatar size. I plan on doing a whole bunch of cat portrait pictures, as long as I have the muse to do it. This cat was drawn in Photoshop using that wonderful programme's drawing tools.
